J. Kevin Mahoney

J. Kevin Mahoney of Norwalk, CT peacefully passed on Saturday, May 13, 2023. Kevin was a 50-year resident of New City, NY. He is survived by his son Martin, his son Michael and his wife Elizabeth, his daughter Mary Ellen and her husband Stuart, his son James and his wife Debra and his son John and his wife Regina. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Elizabeth, Kelly, Lindsay and her husband Kyle, Abigail, Paul, Mark, Megan, Ryan and Heather and her husband Jason. He is predeceased by his wife Shirley H. (Harmel) and grandson Brian Mahoney.

Kevin was born in Buffalo, NY to Joseph E. and Mary A. (Gressmann) Mahoney. He was a banker and enjoyed a long and fulfilling career at Union State Bank. Kevin was a veteran, serving in the US Army in Europe. He will be remembered as a man devoted to his family and a man of deep faith. He was an active parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church in West Nyack. Kevin served the community as a member of the Blauvelt/Orangeburg Lions (past president) and a member of the American Legion. His sense of humor and laugh will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A visitation for J. Kevin will be held Sunday, May 21, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service Inc., 321 S Main St, New City, New York 10956. A funeral mass will occur Monday, May 22, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi, 128 Parrott Rd., West Nyack, NY 10994. A burial will occur Monday, May 22, 2023 at 11:30 AM at Ascension Cemetery, 650 Saddle River Rd., Airmont, NY 10952.
