

Jason Greenberg, 65, of New City died peacefully on January 3 with his family at his side. He is survived by Margaret Gillespie, his wife of 43 years; son Jacob Greenberg of New City; daughter Sophia Greenberg of Ewing, New Jersey; mother Sue Greenberg of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; and countless cousins, siblings-in-law, nieces and nephews, and dear friends, along with work colleagues from Helen Hayes Rehabilitation Hospital in West Haverstraw where he worked as a neurologist and Director of Stroke Rehabilitation Services for nearly 20 years. He was predeceased by his father, Gordon Greenberg.
A memorial service with gathering time for fellowship following will be held on Saturday, January 31 at 9:30 am at St. John’s Episcopal Church. 365 Strawtown Road. New City. The service will also be streamed–accessible by a link on stjohnsnewcity.net. Burial will be in the spring in the St. John’s Memorial Garden.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial donations be made in Jason’s name either to The Helen Hayes Hospital Foundation or to Blood Cancer United (formerly Leukemia & Lymphoma Society). We also invite you to share a cup of good coffee with a friend and toast Jason’s memory.
