Joan Ruth Lent

Joan Lent, 58, of Haverstraw, NY, passed away on December 26th, 2017 with her daughter by her side. Joan was a lifelong resident of Haverstraw. She loved gardening and decorating for every holiday. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially playing with her grandchildren, who always brought a smile to her face. She worked many years for Hornicks and more recently she was employed by Boces and Lowes - where her co-workers became family.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Kimberly and Alexis Rosado and her beloved grandchildren Aubrey and Aidan Rosado, who were the light of her life; her siblings Janet Lent, David (Ann) Lent, and John (Darlene) Lent; her nieces and nephews Jeffrey (Martie) Krol, Christy Lent, Jonathan Lent, Kyle (Erin) Lent, Maureen Lent, Kristine Lent, and Jennifer Lent. She was predeceased by her loving parents James and Beryl Lent and her daughter Kaitlyn Lent.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 28th from 4-8pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. Mass will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church in Garnerville, NY on Friday, December 29th at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at LLS.org/donate.
