John M. Duggan was born in New York City, NY on June 16, 1937 to John M. and Grace (Markham) Duggan. He passed away at the age of 75 on May 3, 2013. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps and retired from the NYC Fire Department, Rescue 4 as a Lieutenant. He was a member of the New City Fire Company and was a fire commissioner for many years. He married Graciela (Morales) in 1961.
He is survived by his wife Graciela, sons Mark (Eileen), Robert (Luiza), sister MaryLou Duggan and grandchildren Cassidy, Tara, Kevin, Nicolette and Aidan.
Family will receive visitors on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. Funeral mass will be on Monday at St. Augustine's Church at 10am. A private cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Uniformed Firefighter's Association, UFA Widow's and Children's Fund, 204 East 23rd Street, New York, NY 10010.
