John F. Hill of New City passed away May 23, 2012. He was 89. John was born in the Bronx to Robert F. Hill and Agnes (Leitheuser) Hill on May 6, 1923. He graduated from Regis High School in the Bronx and attended St. Francis College in Brooklyn and later New York Universtiy. John worked as a Federal Bank Examiner for 40 years and then went to work for Union State Bank as a loan reviewer.
John is survived by his second wife, Bernadette McDermott, his children Laura, Stephen, Edward, James and Raymond, his loving grandchildren Kenneth, Meaghan, Matthew, Ian, Kailey, Kelsey, Nicholas and Teaghan.
John was predeceased by his first wife, Margaret (Peggy) nee Van Beek of 45 years.
A Mass of Christian burial will be offered today 10am at St. Augustines Church New City, NY. Burial to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery Nanuet, NY. Our family would like to thank United Hospice of Rockland and the entire staff of Joe Raso Hospice House for all that they did for John and our family
