John James Loggie, 77, of Nanuet, New York, passed away on January 26, 2026. He is survived by his three children, Erin, Katie, and Matthew; his sister, Sheila Zider; and his two beloved grandchildren, Penelope and Josephine. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 20 years, Geraldine (née LoFaso).
John was born in Brooklyn, New York on May 13, 1948, to George and Bridget Loggie (née Daly). He was extremely caring and generous, known for his sharp wit and big heart. John was a lifelong sports fan, but his greatest joy was spending time with family and being a father and grandfather.
A funeral Mass and burial will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Church, 36 West Nyack Road, Nanuet, New York.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in John’s memory to the Global Polio Eradication Initiative.
