John F. Mollahan Sr, born April 13, 1938 had a long, joyful life that came to an end peacefully on September 11, 2024. He passed away under the care of a Nursing Facility in Spring Hill Florida. John will always be remembered for his strong work ethic and love for God and family.
He is survived by his three children John Jr (Eileen), Laura and Michael (Eileen) along with his nine grandchildren, Maureen Lewis (Devon), Katherine Mollahan, Jack Mollahan, Matthew Van Orden, David Malachowski, Rebecca Malachowski, Ryann Mollahan, Emma Mollahan and Finn Mollahan.
Additionally, John is survived by his brother Bernard V. Mollahan, his sister Barbara A. O’Meara and a large extended family including beloved nieces and nephews.
John is predeceased by his wife Carol, his father Bernard Mollahan and mother Anna Mollahan.
Mass of Catholic burial to be held at St. Augustine Church on Friday, October 4th at 10am. Followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Donations may be made in John’s name to United Hospice of Rockland/Joe Raso Hospice House.
