
Joseph V. Caccamo, Jr., passed away suddenly on August 19, 2010. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 7, 1948. He was the loving son to Teresa and Joseph Caccamo Sr., and a devoted brother to his two siblings Joanne Miceli (Tony) and Jimmy Caccamo. He married the former Deborah Yaniro on June 9, 1974. Together they raised their family in West Nyack. Joseph is survived by his devoted wife and loving children, Gina Dowd, Michael Caccamo, and his son-in-law Brian Dowd. The light of his life was Grandpa's Princess, Mia Grace. Joseph enlisted in the Army in 1966 and was honorably discharged after three years of service. He then worked as a low level message runner on Wall Street and worked his way to the top as the senior securities trader at Bear Stearns, retiring in 2002 after many years. He was an avid hunter, outdoorsman, and respected Combat Pistol Shooter and Shotgun Instructor. Joe was a longtime member of the Pearl River Gun Club and the Camp Fire Club. He served as a Clarkstown Policy Auxiliary Officer for many years up until his death. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Higgin's Funeral Home in New City on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9PM and on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9PM. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be held at St..
