Joe was a great, wonderful guy and terrific friend! In the 40+years that I have known him, he was always happy, upbeat, pleasant and always smiling. I have such wonderful fond memories of our time together, particularly skiing, camping, coaching sports and at the gatherings he and Evelyn hosted in their house. He will be sorely missed. He always brought joy wherever he was and made this world a better place. Rest in peace my wonderful friend. Godspeed.

To Evelyn and family,
How do we begin a tribute to our wonderful friend, Joe! The fun-loving memories we will forever hold began in NC Little League and St. Augustine CYO Basketball. From there, we formed an unending friendship—-the Moriccos, the Montigellis, the Slepakoffs, the Bucalos—15 boys and one little girl, Dina, —-camping, skiing, Nags Head, NC, Great Adventure, Action Park, DisneyWorld, the Everett, MA Football Bowl, etc. We will be forever grateful for our reunions in Stony Point and Hutchinson Island. Oh, Joe, your presence made every gathering more fun, more memorable. We will never forget you—eternal love and admiration for an outstanding guy! You will remain in our fondest memories forever. Rest In Peace, dear friend.

Joe was a great man.
His family and mine spent so much time together in the 80s when I was a boy. We took vacations together nearly every year - skiing in Vermont, camping in Maine, enjoying the beach at the Jersey Shore.
His devotion to coaching kids & the joy he took in seeing us youngsters playing sports was admirable. He gave so much of his time to countless children.
When I picture Joe, I can only remember him with that great big smile that he had.
I’ll miss him.
“The bottom line is”.... he was a great man.
I’m richer for having known him.
Rest In Peace Joe.
