Born March 19, 1955, deceased December 12, 2016. Toolie is survived by his loving wife, Christine, his daughters Jeannette and Elizabeth, her husband Chris, and his son Brian and his wife Kristina, along with his five beloved grandchildren, and his brother and sisters Michael O’Toole, Tricia O’Toole, Brenda Kenny and Annie Murphy, along with many loving nieces and nephews.
After a long, courageous battle with cancer, Toolie took his final breath at home surrounded by his brother, sisters and family. His battle with cancer proves that Toolie was a fighter. A firefighter for 19 years with the FDNY 41 Truck in the Bronx, Toolie found his calling at the World Trade Center on 9/11 and will always be one of New York’s Bravest.
He loved his brothers at the firehouse, spending time with his family, grandchildren and sailing on his boat. A great man, laid to rest this day, he was truly one of a kind. Rest in Peace, Toolie.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York or FDNY Fire Family Transport Foundation.
