Joseph S. Stampf

He was born in New York City to John and Theresa (Marth) Stampf. He proudly served in the US Army from 1962 - 1968. He married Barbara Ann Karlovits, the love of his life, in the Bronx in 1967. The family relocated to Rockland in 1977.

He worked for General Motors, retiring after 33 years. He enjoyed volunteering at Good Samaritan Hospital's Medical Research Library in Suffern. He also enjoyed taking trips and capturing many happy family moments on camera. He cherished spending time with his family especially his grandson whom he adored.

He is survived by his wife Barbara, daughter Christina (Richard) Pascale and their son Michael, and son Joseph (Geraldine.) He is also survived by his sister Ilona Moran, twin brother John (Rosemary,) brother Frank (Terri,) brother in law Robert Karlovits, and many beloved nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, brother in law Thomas Moran and sister in law Joanne Karlovits.

Reposing at Michael J Higgins Funeral Home in New City on Wednesday, February 28 from 2 - 4 pm and 7 - 9 pm. Funeral mass will be at St Anthony Shrine Church in Nanuet at 10:00 am on Thursday March 1. Entombment to follow at St Anthony's Cemetery.
