I am so sorry to hear of the loss of a wonderful, kind and special person, Joe Vasi, my heart goes out to you, your children and grandchildren at this sad and devastating time of your lives. I would go into the store and Joe would always greet me with a big smile and his compassion  for taking care of everyone, he will be missed by all who knew and loved him, may he Rest In Peace and may his memory be a blessing in your hearts forever, may the love he gave to each of you sustain you in the months and years to come, my heartfelt sympathy on the loss of such a good man,

My most deepest condolences to Donna and family. There was only one Joe. I loved Joe Vasi and the memories run deep. When I was 16 years old, Joe, my mother Phyllis, my cousin Joey Cipriano and I went to Puerto Rico together. Oh what a time we had.  When Joe had the deli in downtown Harrison, I lived behind Petty John's Park and  went every every day for Joe's phenomenal meat ball wedges.  Will miss you Joe we're one of the best, easy to love. Rest in peace Joe we all remember you fondly 🙏✝️

My first job was working as Vasis when I became a teenager stocking sodas cleaning dishes mopping and making sandwiches. You taught me about sandwich presentation and you always made the perfectly round meatballs. I remember setting up the deli for the next morning as cars would pull in you knew exactly how they took their coffee. At weddings you would tear up the dancefloor to Sweet Caroline. When you owned VRS you used to say you were on vacation in Florida even though you would tan on the roof. During Halloween you used to wear a huge wizard mask, around Christmas you would grow your beard and play Santa Claus outside the Deli giving candy canes to kids. You were a class act you will be missed. I am sure you are in heaven cooking Sunday dinner for all RIP

Please accept my deepest sympathy in the loss of your loved one. Joe was a very special person who enjoyed having fun. I have very fond memories of times our families spent together over the years. He will be missed dearly by many. May he rest in peace and wishing you strength and comfort during this difficult time.
