Karl H. Gerlach

Karl Gerlach of New City, NY, 74 years old, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2019. Karl was a lifelong resident of Rockland. He was born on December 21, 1944 to Helen and George Gerlach. He graduated from Clarkstown High school. Karl was retired from the Clarkstown Highway department, where he worked for over 35 years. He was a member of the Rockland Rodders car club for many years. He enjoyed going to the car shows every Friday during the spring and summer. He is survived by his son David Gerlach, and daughter Heather Tatti (Jason) and their daughters; Devyn and Aria. He is also survived by his sister Ada Kane, his brothers George Gerlach, and William Gerlach (Lynette) in addition to many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife Glenda and loving son Karl. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Family will receive friends on Friday April 19, 2019 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. A funeral service will be held on Saturday April 20, 2019 at 10am at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY, followed by interment at Germonds Cemetery, New City, NY.

My wife Lynn ( Hinckley ) and I Ed Smith ( Smitty ) have known Karl for many years. Karl and I worked in the highway department together, we shared many good times on and off the job. He will always be fondly remembered by us. Our Deepest Sympathly to the Gerlach Family !
