Kathleen M. Brunner, age 59, passed away on Friday December 20, 2013, surrounded by her beloved family and friends after her long and courageous battle with lung cancer. She was born in Bronx, NY on January 24, 1954 to Charles and Grace Becker. She is survived by her loving husband Douglas and her children Steven and wife Jenna, Ricky and wife JoAnna, Carrie and husband Michael and her grandson Nicholas. She was beloved by her sisters and brother as well as her nieces and nephews. Kathy was the family matriarch, as a strong and loving mother, wife, sister and friend, she was always there to listen, to guide and to support. She will be dearly missed by all.
Family will receive visitors on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, New City, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10am at St. Aedan’s Church, Pearl River. Burial will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Nanuet. It was Kathy’s wishes, in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the United Hospice of Rockland, 11 Stokum Ln, New City, NY 10956.
