Kathryn J Syran

Kathryn Jean Buchignani Syran (Kitty), 88 years old, daughter of Adolph Buchignani and Catherine Cheicco, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family and friends on Thursday, August 29, 2024. She is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Theodore Syran, and siblings Olympia Rizzo, Louie Barazotto, John Barazotto, Marion Dagostino, and Rose Annunziata. She is survived by 3 daughters, Veronica Corbiere (George), Debra Donohue (Peter) and Jean Davan. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren: Nicole, George, Emily, Reese, Ashlyn, Chelsea and Andrew.

Kitty grew up in Brooklyn, NY and worked over 20 years as a switchboard operator at Macys, Kings Plaza. She raised her family in Marine Park, Brooklyn and later reƟred to Pearl River, NY where she made numerous lifelong friends. She enjoyed dining out, bowling, playing cards, trips to the casino and crocheting. She was an outstanding mother, grandmother and friend to all. Her memory will be carried in the hearts of those she touched.
