In addition, Lauren is survived by her brothers Michael Marusic, his wife Renee, their children Julia, Addison, and Brandon of Montebello, NY; brother Kevin Marusic, his wife Pamela, and

Lauren graduated from Clarkstown HS South, Class of 1982, went on to attend The College of the Holy Cross, Class of 1986, with a concentration in economics and accounting and her M.B.A. from Fordham University. A Certified Public Accountant, Lauren began her career at KPMG, then was recruited to Citibank where she was a Vice President. She then moved with Court Square Capital, a spin-off of Citibank and was Chief Financial Officer and then retired in 2016 as Chief Compliance Officer.
Lauren fought a courageous 5-year battle with breast cancer and while her family grieves for her loss, they are choosing to remember her spirit. She never complained and instead focused on enriching the lives of those around her. Lauren's greatest joys were her children Michael John and Kaitlyn Elizabeth and the love of her life and husband of 25 years Mike. Lauren always thought of deeply personal ways to connect with those around her and her kindness will be greatly missed.
A longtime parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church, West Nyack, NY, Lauren's faith remained strong throughout her fight. An avid sports fan, Lauren could often be found cheering for her children, nieces and nephews at sporting events along with rooting for the New York Giants. Lauren treasured spending time with her family, and enjoying sunsets in Sag Harbor, NY and Naples, FL.
