Lynda A. Haubner

Born in Suffern, NY, on December 14, 1949, Lynda was the beloved daughter of Victor E. and Adele (Murray) Perruna. Following high school, she dedicated more than 25 years to her family’s business, Perruna’s Restaurant in Spring Valley, where she developed a passion for the restaurant industry. For the past 33 years, Lynda was a cherished member of the Pearl River Saloon family, where she took great joy in her latest role as the banquet manager.

Lynda shared 20 wonderful years with her late husband, Dan O’Brien, creating a life filled with joy, laughter, and adventure. Together, they enjoyed going on cruises, traveling to Alaska (twice), Mexico, Bermuda, and numerous Caribbean islands alongside friends and family. She also embarked on two memorable European cruises, both of which included stops in Italy, where she delighted in the country’s cuisine—a favorite of hers.

Lynda's life was filled with the simple joys that brought her the most happiness: dining out with family and friends, trips to Foxwoods Casino with her brother Tom and sister-in-law Doreen, and cooking for “her boys”, who were the light of her life.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Dan, her parents Vic and Adele Perruna, and her brothers Dominic Perruna and Victor Perruna.

Lynda is survived by her devoted children: Kathleen M. Haubner, Victor A. Haubner IV, and Kimberly A. Buchanan (Dawn); her adored grandsons: Victor V (Lexie), Nicholas, and Jake Haubner; her brothers Thomas Perruna (Doreen) and John Perruna; sisters-in-law Jane Wolf and Patti Kugler; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and her extended Saloon family, all of whom will deeply miss her warmth, smile, and generosity.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 19, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, New City. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, May 20, at 10 a.m. at St. Catharine of Alexandria Church in Blauvelt.

Donations in Lynda’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a cause close to her heart.
