

Lynn Doris D’Onofrio, a lifelong resident of Rockland County, living in Stony Point for the last 47 years passed away and entered her final resting place on Monday, April 21, 2025, at Select Specialty Hospital in Rochelle Park, NJ. She was 74 years young. Daughter of the late Harry and Doris (Doremus) Marsden, she was born on June 28, 1950, in Suffern, NY. Lynn was a 1968 Graduate of Spring Valley High School.
Immediately after high school, Lynn began working as a Stenographer Clerk for Orange and Rockland Utilities, where she retired in 2007 after a 40-year career. She was also an avid member of the Red Hat Society and the Stony Point Seniors Club.
Lynn is survived by her two brothers Harry J. Marsden of Stuart, FL; and Robert Marsden and his wife Diane of Lake Ariel, PA, her sister-in-law Marcia D’Onofrio of Montrose, NY, and her brother-in-law Michael D’Onofrio and his wife Diane of Valley Cottage, NY. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, whom she loved and adored very much; Mallory Nodhturft (Michael), Robyn Marsden (Brian), Stephen D’Onofrio, Elizabeth Surprenant (Roger), Christina Schley (Lyndsey) and Michael Adam D’Onofrio; along with many great nieces and nephews, numerous cousins and wonderful friends. She was predeceased by her husband of nearly 50 years, Rocco D’Onofrio, her parents, Harry and Doris (Doremus) Marsden, her brother-in-law, Eugene D’Onofrio, and her sister-in-law, Christine Marsden.
Lynn enjoyed her two cats - Meme and Lily, bowling with friends, knitting, reading, playing cards, writing letters to her pen pals, shopping, cruising and traveling with her knitting group, going to the beach and enjoying concerts with friends. Most of all, she loved spending quality time with her family and thoroughly enjoyed the company of her great nieces and nephew - Mia, Michael, Madison, Vivienne and Gracie.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 27th at Higgins Funeral Home, 321 South Main St. New City, NY from 3-7pm. The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 28 at 11am at Higgins Funeral Home, 321 South Main St. New City, NY. Burial will follow at Frederick Loescher Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
