Mae I. Tomei

Mae I. Tomei passed away on June 18, 2011. Mae was born on February 11, 1928 in the Bronx, NY to Mary and James Pignone. Mae was married to her late husband Italo for over 58 years. She worked for many years in the Insurance Industry with the last 20 plus years at AllState Insurance. Mae was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Aunt who will be deeply missed. She loved her home in Nanuet which was home for the past 52 years and everyone in town knew Mae. She was survived by her son, Robert and his wife Marianne Tomei; her daughter Mary Ann and her husband Anthony Pumilia; her two grandchildren, Megan Elizabeth Tomei and Alexander Pumilia; and her two sisters Rosie Perrillo and Jeannie Ferro. The Family will receive family and friends on Tuesday, June 21, from 7-9PM and Wednesday, June 22, 2-4 and 7-9PM at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, New City, NY, on Thursday, June 23, a mass of Christian burial at St. Anthony's Church in Nanuet, NY at 10AM. Interment to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Nanuet, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you send donations to the United Hospice of Rockland.
