Mara has been a lifelong resident of Rockland County. She will be remembered as a beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished daughter and sister. Mara was so giving of herself to others lending a helping hand whenever and wherever needed. She was known as the neighborhood “mom” to all the kids. Mara’s greatest accomplishment in life, were her two loving children whom she did anything and everything for. Mara will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Mara is survived by her husband Marc Shuman of New City NY, her sons Joshue and Jake Shuman, her mother Carol and stepfather Allen Kessler of Florida, her Father Ken Jeby of California, and her sister and brother in law Dana and Mark Bernstein of Orangeburg, NY, her nephews and niece Alex, Adam and Blake.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday 10am at the Higgins Funeral Home 321 South Main Street New City, NY. Burial to follow at Cedar Park Cemetery Paramus, NJ. The Family will be sitting Shiva at their residence immediately following services.
