Marie A. Leopoldo

Marie A Leopoldo, born in Ponza, Italy passed away at home on August 8, 2025 she was 94. Marie found joy in Reading, crocheting and current News events in her later years. She was a FOX news enthusiast. She loved to cook and create a cozy decorative home blue being her favorite color. Marie was most remembered for her Christmas Eve fish Dinner with family and neighbors around her dining room table. There was always room at the table for walk ins. She dedicated her life to her family. Her kind spirit touched many lives.

Marie was currently a resident of Long Neck, Delaware where she loved and was loved by many who called her mom. She will be greatly missed.

Marie also lived in New Jersey, North Carolina and spent time in Florida where she was blessed to meet and create long time friendships who she remained in contact and corresponded with over the years. She was loved by everyone who met her.

Marie also lived in Orange County, NY and was a long time resident in Rockland County, NY for over 48 wonderful years with her family. Prior to those years, she started her young family in the Bronx.

Marie will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, Aunt and friend. Marie was the beloved wife of the late Amanzio J Leopoldo who she shared love and life with for 59 years.

Marie is survived by her son John and wife Laura of Boca Raton, FL., Sal and his wife Valerie of Orangeburg, NY., Kathy Ofeldt and husband Richard of Long Neck, DE., and Laura Anderson and her husband Mike of Holly Springs, NC., 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Friends and family may pay their respects at a visitation on August 15, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Michael J Higgins Funeral Home, 321 S Main St., New City, NY 10956. Followed by entombment at St Anthony’s Mausoleum, 36 West Nyack Rd., Nanuet, NY 10954
