Mark J. Monti

Mark J. Monti, 48, of Congers, NY passed away peacefully March 28th at the Joe Raso Hospice Residence in New City after a seven month illness. He was born in Port Chester, NY to Phillip and Catherine (Ludwig) Monti on April 21st 1963. Mark was a graduate of Port Chester High School and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Science at Iona College in New Rochelle. He spent many years as a public accountant. He worked at Schall and Ashenfarb since 2005. He survived by his wife of 19 years, Patricia and his son Stephen. Two brothers, Carlo of Rye Brook and his twin brother Felix and his wife Terri of Brewster. Four sisters, Margaret (Peggy) and her husband Joe Carpentieri of Port Chester, Mary and her husband Rich Romaner of New Rochelle, Catherine Monti of Valley Cottage, and Liz and her husband Rich Hudson of Port Chester. He is predeceased by his brother, Lenny. Mark also survived by his 14 nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Higgins Funeral Home 321 S. Main St., New City NY 10956. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday at 10:15am at St. Francis at Assisi Church in West Nyack, NY. Donations can be made in Mark's memory to United Hospice of Rockland.
