

She was born February 18 1947 in Astoria Queens NY to Helen(Firment) and Robert E Byrne. In 1969 Mary Ann married the love of her life Bob, moved to Rockland County New City NY, and together for 55 years raised a family. Mary Ann is survived by her Two Children Jason & his wife Laura(Iacovelli) of Hopkinton, Mass.,Two Grandsons Dylan & Ryan and loving Daughter Shannon Molfetas of New City NY. She is also survived by her Sister Patricia Cotton Of Pearl River and Nephews John & Robert and their spouses and several Grand Nephews and nieces.
Mary Ann’s Warmth and Kindness touched everyone Around her. A Great Listener, Avid Book Reader, Music Lover & loved to travel. Loved Life To The Fullest. She Graduated Cathedral HS , St Vincent School of Nursing as a RN and a BS Degree from Empire State College. During her life experience worked in the Hospital Environment and Private Duty in the Residential & Commercial sectors. Before retirement worked for Rockland Community College in the Health Field.
Taught and Trained Hundreds of Students and Health Care Workers for their CPR requirements. Will be remembered by ALL. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Parkinson Research Foundation 5969 Cattleridge Blvd Ste 100 Sarasota Fl. 34232.
Visitation will be held April 10th, 2024 3:00 pm-7:00 pm at Higgins Funeral Service, New City , NY A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on April 11, 2024 11:30 am at st Saint Francis of Assisi Church West Nyack NY, followed by interment at St. Anthony’s cemetery Nanuet, NY.
