Mary Catherine Longenecker of New City, NY, 83 years old, passed away peacefully at Montefiore Nyack Hospital on July 3, 2026.
She was born in Nyack, NY on December 30, 1942, the daughter of the late Franklin Grover Edsall and Teresa Turine Edsall and the younger sister of the late Joseph F. Edsall of Telford, PA.
She attended Nyack High School and later worked at Nyack Hospital before marrying and caring for her family.
Mary was the beloved wife of 25 years of her late husband, William A. Longenecker, Sr. who she met in her hometown of Nyack, NY in 1960.
Mary is survived by her daughter Mary Gallucci and her two sons William A. Longenecker Jr. and Martin Longenecker and his wife Hak Cho (her daughter-in-law). She is also survived by her grandson William Longenecker and granddaughter Nicole Longenecker.
Services will be private, with interment with her husband at Frederick Loescher Veterans Memorial Cemetary, Spring Valley, NY.
