MaryEllen Schaub

MaryEllen Schaub passed away peacefully on Sunday June 3rd after a long illness. She was born on December 3, 1930 in Brooklyn NY to Josephine (Ricigliano) and Charles Adams. She married Raymond Schaub on May 22, 1954. Together they raised eight children and lived a full life surrounded by family and many friends. She was the adored grandmother to fifteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

MaryEllen loved to travel and cook, everyone was always welcome at her table. Bringing family, friends and food together was her greatest pleasure.

She was predeceased by her husband Raymond and son Francis. She is survived by her children Faith (Paul) Custer, Hope (Kevin) Murphy, William (Santa ) , Raymond(Elizabeth), Charles (Celeste), MaryEllen (David) Baker, and Christopher (Deborah). She is also survived by her fifteen grandchildren, Raymond, Kerri, Devin, Christian, Charles, Amelia, Tirzah, William, Angela, Bryan, Kevin, Harry, Krisanne, Hannah, Stephen and two great grandchildren, Lily and Delaney.

Visiting will be held at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, 321 S. Main St., New City on Wednesday, June 6, 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Thursday, June 7 at St. Francis of Assisi in West Nyack. Interment will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery in Nanuet.
