Michael was a loving father and is survived by his sons Matthew J Hay and Sean C Hay; a devoted brother to George, Jerry, Kevin, Cathy, John, Anne, Eileen, Betsy, and Maureen.
Michael was born in Suffern, NY and was a lifelong resident of Rockland County. He graduated from Albertus Magnus High School, and worked at the A&P to pay his way through SUNY Albany where he received his bachelor’s degree.
Michael "believed" he was an avid golfer and skier. He was also a loyal Yankee and Giant fan and enjoyed walking around Rockland Lake State Park. He had a love for all dogs, especially the five Golden Retriever family members over the years. Family will receive visitors on Tuesday, March 4 from 5-9pm at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. A service will take place at 8:30pm. Please come and share stories and celebrate his life with his family and friends.
