Morgan's life journey began in Tucson, Arizona on October 9, 1986. Soon after, he moved with his parents to Nanuet, NY and lived at Vista at Kingsgate and was fascinated watching the construction of hundreds of condominiums. By the age of two, his favorite thing to do was working with a real screwdriver and hammer—safe toys would not do. He would unscrew everything and hammer down whatever he thought needed to be fixed. He was born to be in the field of construction.
Nature was Morgan's other calling. He spent many years of his childhood on and around Lake Lucille in New City. His interests grew to the love of fishing. He took his paddleboat and fishing rods and paddled happily around the lake to discover the best fishing spots to later come home and talk about it endlessly. As time marched on, he continued his love of fishing by customizing a lake fishing boat, in a precise fashion, with all the bells and whistles attached. A good day would be spent in Harriman State Park to find that perfect fishing spot. Snowboarding was another passion in which Morgan excelled. He trained on the skateboard, jumping and riding rails and took those skills to the slopes with his family, favorite cousin and friends.
Morgan graduated from Clarkstown South in 2005 and the University at Buffalo in 2010, earning his Bachelor's degree in business and carried those skills to start a career in construction framing homes. He was proud of his Norwegian heritage and seemed to simply have it in his blood; carpentry, fishing, snowboarding—this is where Morgan found true happiness and inner peace.
With tears forever in our hearts, Morgan leaves behind his parents, Linda and Tom Dimick, his sister Courtney and brother Christopher, cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents from coast to coast and from across the oceans to Hawaii and Norway. Morgan also leaves behind his wonderful, loving friends who will always be a part of the family.
A private service will be held on March 4, 2021 at Germonds Church, New City, NY at 10:00 a.m where we will celebrate Morgan's life followed by an interment at Germonds Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Christopher's, 21 Francissan Way, P.O. Box 150, Garrison, NY 10524, in Morgan's memory.
