Nancy P Untener

Nancy P. Untener of Rockland County, NY, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, the day before her 96 th birthday. Nancy was born in the Bronx, NY on October 16, 1929 to John and Frances Costa (deceased). They later resided in Yonkers, NY, and Nancy was a proud graduate of St. Barnabas High School, an all- girls, private Catholic school in Woodlawn Heights, Bronx.

Nancy married the love of her life, Lawrence E. Untener (deceased) on September 22, 1950, and he was the apple of her eye throughout their 70 years together. Nancy is survived by their loving children Stephanie,( Michael, son in law, deceased) Jayne and (Bob, son-in-law), Jennifer and (Tom, son-in-law), Darlene and (Wendell, son-in-law), and Scott and (Suzanne, daughter-in-law). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren (Jason, Zachary, Mark, Travis, Tyler, Courtney, Ryan, Taylor, Braiden, Kodie, Chad, Brianna and Alexa) and 7 great grandchildren (Grayson, Anabelle Lee, Landon, Teagan, Riley, Jaxon and Mason) with 2 more on the way. Nancy's greatest dream was to have a large family and her dream came true. She adored all of her family and all adored her. She was the best Mom and Grandmother.

Nancy decided to go back to school at the age of 45 and graduated from Dominican College in 1986 as a licensed Occupational Therapist. She was extremely compassionate and giving and loved helping people. This was evident in her work and all the lives she touched along the way in her personal life. She was also extremely creative and artistic, which continued into her late years. She was known as laughing Nancy with a beautiful spirit.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Make-A-Wish to support Nancy’s love of life and children.
