

Nicholas M. Conti, Jr.'s valiant struggle with early-onset Alzheimer's disease ended on February 21, 2011. This disease may have taken his life, but it never took his love of life and family. He was born in Manhattan on July 18, 1950 and was the son of Nicholas, Sr. and Philomena Conti. He graduated from Dominican College with a B.S. in Accounting and worked in the hotel/restaurant industry.
On August 11, 1973 he married Barbara Gray in the Bronx and they embarked on their new life together. It was a journey filled with many family trips to Walt Disney World, sporting events, and school plays. Above all Nick had the utmost adoration for his children and grandchildren and was a constant presence in their lives always striving to be "The Best".
He is survived by his wife Barbara, his son Daniel, wife Kerry and grandchildren Tara and Declan, his son Timothy, daughter Alana and husband Brian Herron.
Family and friends may call at the Higgins Funeral Home, New City, on Thursday February, 24 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 25 at 10:00am, St. Augustine Church, New City. Interment to follow at Brick Church Cemetery, Monsey, NY.
