Nora Ann Semedo, 67, of White Plains, NY, passed away on November 15, 2025. Born in Yonkers, NY, Nora was the beloved daughter of Amelia Semedo and Noah Semedo Sr. She graduated from Yonkers High School and continued her education with college coursework at Westchester Community College.
She later built a long and dedicated career as a Computer Technician with AT&T, where she was admired for her reliability, humor, and willingness to help others.
Above all, Nora was a woman who lived by deep values: family first, love hard, keep humor close, value others, and remember that it takes a village. She poured these principles into every relationship she touched.
Nora was a devoted mother to her daughter, Monique Anyane-Yeboah, and mother-in-law to Barima Anyane-Yeboah. She found immense joy in being a grandmother to Abena and Grace Anyane-Yeboah, whom she adored and proudly spoiled. Spending time with family was her greatest happiness.
Nora was known for her love of shopping, especially finding the best bargains, and for sharing meals out with those she loved. She instilled in her family and community a lifelong love of learning and an understanding of the power of laughter and togetherness.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Amelia Semedo; her father, Noah Semedo Sr.; and her brother, Noah Semedo Jr. She leaves behind her cherished daughter Monique, son-in-law Barima, and granddaughters Abena and Grace, who will forever carry her lessons, love, and spirit.
