Noreen Stack died peacefully in Hospice care at Hackensack Medical Center on July 5th. She had endured a long and difficult illness, which required a tremendous amount of support from her friends and family, who remained by her side throughout her 2 1/2 year struggle. Noreen was born April 6, 1947, in the Bronx, New York, to Irish immigrants. She moved to Congers with her husband Eddie in 1977 to start a family. She spent a large portion of her career working for AT&T, Nynex Mobile & Verizon wireless, working her way into management roles, right where she belonged. Noreen loved to laugh (loudly), and was always available to lend an ear. She loved sports, especially college basketball and football, and enjoyed watching her grandchildren take part in all their activities. She is pre-deceased by her husband Edmond, her parents Neil and Catherine Williams, and her sister Margret Williams. She is survived by her sister Catherine and her husband Neil, daughter Kathleen, her husband Sean, and their two children Patrick and Kaleigh, and her son Kevin, his children Megan and Ava. Visiting hours will be Monday, July 8 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Michael J Higgins Funeral Home in Congers. Mass of Christian burial will take place on Tuesday, 10am, at St. Paul’s church in Congers.
