Olga Rita Sabino

Olga Sabino of New Windsor, NY passed away peacefully on February 15, 2025. Olga is survived by her two sons (Arnold and JoEllen, Edward and Diane). She is also survived by four grandchildren, Anthony, Stephanie, Amanda and Brian and two great grandchildren Meadow and Ethan. Olga is also survived by two sisters Rita Lupo of Maine and Francis Leone of Massachusetts. Olga was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years Mario John Sabino. She was also predeceased by her infant son Alfred (0 months), her daughter Virginia (21) 1972, and son Mario (50), 2004.

Olga was born in the Bronx, NY, to Alfred and Josephine DeMasi on October 1, 1928. Olga met her future husband Mario at a dance hall in NY, married him in 1948 and the two of them danced their way through life enjoying both NY and later on life in Margate, Florida.

Olga graduated high school, started a family and in her early life in the Bronx worked at two successful Italian restaurants Louies and Amerigo's. Olga moved to Stony Point in Rockland County in 1972 and worked at Nyack and Helen Hayes Hospital before she wound up working at Letchworth Village as a switchboard operator.

Visitation will be held at Michael J Higgins Funeral Services, INC. on Wednesday February 19, 2025 between 9:30-10:30 am followed by a blessing and then a burial at The Frederick Loescher Veterans Memorial Cemetery in New Hempstead, NY.
