Patricia Margaret Lacombe

Patricia (Nevins) Lacombe, age 61, passed away on May 22, 2014 peacefully at her home in New City surrounded by her family after a 2 year battle with ALS. She is survived by her husband, Peter, her college sweetheart, whom she was married to for 39 years, and her 2 children, Danielle, a graduate of Villanova University, and Michael, an Army Officer. Patty, a long-time resident of Rockland, grew up in New City, attended St. Augustine's then Albertus Magnus High School and received her B.A. from Marist College. Throughout her business career, she excelled at sales in both the advertising world and the medical field, achieving success while at The New York Times, Good Housekeeping, and Merck Pharmaceutical. Patty's dedication to her friends and family and her passion for life were evident by the tremendous support and outpouring of love she received, particularly in the last 2 years, while bravely battling this incurable disease. Visiting hours are May 28th and 29th at Higgins Funeral Home in New City from 6-9pm. The funeral mass will be held at St. Augustine's on May 30th at 10am, celebrated by Msgr. Cox, her uncle. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Patricia's name to Big Brother Big Sisters of Rockland, a charity she was active in, 65 North Main Street, New City, NY 10956 (845) 634-2199.
