Patricia Marion Rees

Patricia (Pat) Rees, 85, beloved wife of Ken Rees, passed away October 20, 2014, peacefully in the home that she loved in New City. They had been happily married for 61 years. She was born August 8, 1929, in the Bronx and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Grace Altritt.She is survived by her 3 children, Joanne (Michael) McCue of Pearl River, NY, James Rees of Atlanta, GA, and Mary (William) Arther of Baltimore, MD. She had 8 grandchildren, Shannon (Ryan) White, Colleen (Brendan) McLaughlin, Caitlin McCue, Douglas and Kyle Rees, Daniel, Megan and Matthew Arther. She was also great-grandmother to Abigail and Liam White, James McLaughlin and Jaedyn Arther.Pat was an outstanding wife, mother and homemaker who was best known for her love of family and friends. She was a parishioner at St. Augustine's Parish in New City, NY.Family will receive visitors at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home in New City, on Wednesday, October 22 from 7-9pm and Thursday, October 23 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 24 at 11am at St. Augustine's Parish. Interment will follow at Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY.
