

Paul Juritsch of Congers, NY passed away on January 24th, 2020 with his loving family by his side. Paul was 86 years old. Paul was born to Martin and Elizabeth (Gaus) Juritsch on January 1st, 1934. He was raised and loved by his mother Katharina (Himmelsbach) Juritsch when his mom Elizabeth went to heaven.
Paul was born in Filipovo, Yugoslavia a “Donauschwaben” (people of the Danube). He was one of eight children. He survived the Gakowa concentration camp as a child and eventually came to America which became his home. Paul was employed and retired from Gries Reproducers in New Rochelle, NY where he was a machinist.
Paul loved his family so very much. Just being with his wife, Judith, his children and grandchildren gave him so much Joy. He loved his lawn, watching the birds and feeling the sunshine on his face.
Paul is survived by his adoring wife, Judith of 31 years, his daughters Joan Smith and husband Joseph of Congers, Catherine Christie and her husband Jack of Warwick, and son Richard Juritsch of West Haverstraw. Grandchildren Michael and Melinda Jaeger, Raymond Robles and fiancée Dominique Naudy, Jack Christie, Aaron and his wife Kathleen, Richard, Robert and Anthony Juritsch. Great grand-children Corey, Daniel, and Lily. Stepdaughter Elizabeth Reber and her children, Jessica, Matthew and Katie, his late stepson Billy’s daughter Rachel DiLunardi. Brothers Hans Juritsch, Joe and Rose Juritsch, sisters Heddy Sohl and Appy and Wendell Brenner. Sister-in-law Liesel Juritsch and many nieces and nephews.
Paul was predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth Juritsch, Martin and Katharina Juritsch. Brothers Anton, Martin, and Steve. Sister-in-laws Delia and Elizabeth Juritsch, brother-in-law John Sohl, and stepson Billy DiLunardi. Great grandson Christopher Paul Robles.
Family will receive family and friends at Higgins Funeral Home, New City, NY on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on January 30, 2020, 10am, at Saint Ann’s Church in Nyack, NY with interment to follow at Saint Anthony’s Cemetery in Nanuet, NY.

A special thank you to the Clarkstown Police, Congers Ambulance and New City Paramedic departments for giving us a chance to say goodbye to our dad. And to the Good Samaritan Hospital staff who treated our dad and family with much dignity and respect. We will be forever grateful.
