The world has lost a truly wonderful human being.  May God bless Pat and all of the Stephens' family with the strength and guidance to get through this difficult period of mourning.  Paul is resting in God's loving kingdom now.  I am honored and blessed to have known Mr. Paul Stephens.

Uncle Paul was a large part of my childhood. He taught me how to shuffle cards, was there with Aunt Pat at all the major events and holidays of my youth. Always laughing and being loving. He stood for hours with me in the ocean surf, during my first time in the ocean, waiting for me to be ready to dive into a wave. And he was there, laughing his head off, to pick me up after the ocean tumbled me back up onto the beach with a bathing suit full of sand. I remember many trips to the Hudson River to fish and many trips upstate, where he bought land to hunt on. He is the reason my family moved up to Norwich, where my mom and dad and I still live. Even though I didn't see you often in the past decade or two, I thought of you often and am missing you now. I know you are laughing in heaven. I love you, Uncle Paul! Your little niece, Laura

Uncle Paul was always smiling, joking or laughing.  He used to tell people that he and my mom were twins.  The image I have of him in my memory is of him in that cowboy hat with an Irish Setter next to him.  He called everyone "Kid" or "Kiddo". Quick to laugh or smile he was a loving man and great uncle and will be truly missed.  My thoughts are with you all.

One of the great memories I have with your Dad was when he took Lisa and I to a public pool and he got me with the, "I caught a fish gag"  Splashed water right in my face when I went to see the fish in his cupped hands!
Wonderful man who will be missed by many.  The cool thing is that he will always be with you....pay attention to your dreams because that is when you get to be together again.  My thoughts and prayers go out to you guys.  Take good care of your Mom!  xoxo
