Philip Anthony Potenza, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away on May 23, 2025, in New City, New York. He was 55 years old.
Born on June 12, 1969, in Queens, NY, Phil lived a life full of passion, dedication, and love. A proud graduate of Cornell University, where he was a two-sport collegiate athlete, Phil went on to earn his master’s degree from NYU Stern. He built a successful career in information technology as an IT consultant, working for numerous companies and always bringing his integrity and expertise to every endeavor.
Phil is survived by his devoted wife, Krista, and their five children: Meaghan, Ryan, and Aedan Potenza, and Ella and Dominic Crisci. He is also survived by his brothers John Potenza "Stephanie", and Fred Potenza "Chrissy", as wells as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Louise and Anthony “Hank” Potenza.
A man of deep loyalty and strong values, Phil will be remembered most for the love he had for his family. He was a passionate Jets and Yankees fan and found great joy in watching golf—especially from a favorite chair surrounded by those he loved.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28 from 4pm -8pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, New York. A funeral mass will take place on Thursday, May 29 at 10am St. Anthony’s Church in Nanuet, New York.
Phil’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and strength. He will be missed deeply and remembered always. In
