Richard Louis Cossa, 82 of New City died Monday May 22nd 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born March 18th 1935 in Bronx, NY, the son of Francesco and Antonetta Cossa. He was one of fourteen siblings. On October 29th, 1960 he married Margaret Notargiacomo who he has been married to for 56 years.
He served in the US Navy in 1952-1956 during the Korean War. He spent 30 years employed by the United States Postal Service and retired as a Supervisor.
He is survived by his wife Margaret Cossa, his son Richard J Cossa (his wife Irene Cossa), his daughter Cheryl M Thomas (her husband Matthew Thomas), his son Ralph M Cossa, his grandchildren Daniel Cossa, Hayley Thomas, and Jake Thomas, his sisters Jean Vitale and Angie Cossa-Stabile and many nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his daughter Laura Ann Cossa and eleven brothers and sisters.
