Condolences to the Kirkwood family on the passing of Richard from Dr Ronnie Cooper and family.
I have fond memories of our association in terms of music over 40 years ago.
He had a golden voice and a great personality. 
The world has lost a star.

R.I.P.  Dr. Richard Kirkwood . Always kind, gentle, and welcoming when we all gathered at his house for the endless parties and celebrations that they would graciously host. He was an excellent Physician who spent endless hours in the E.R. serving the community over many years.
My sincere condolences to his family, especially Dion, Mark,  and Amber. May God Bless and protect you all. 
This  is a prayer your Mom sent me one day which I saved until this day. Always remember this🙏🏽🙏🏽✝️✝️

Our dear friend Richard will be sadly missed, we both played with Kirky in the early days in the band called "The Presidents" circa 1962 (photo attached).
His voice was outstanding in the class of Matt Monroe.

Oh, Richard! Dear friend and Colleague! We attended medical school around the same time on Campus at UWI Mona. He chose to specialize as an Emergency Medicine Physician and served at Harlem Hospital (NY) from residency to almost retirement! He did not end there. Great job Richard, you saved many souls and saved many generations from decay, self hate and uselessness. He was always forthright, clear in identity, a loyal follower of Garvey’s principles of the African spirit and Soul. I have lost a dear friend. Our world is poorer for his absence but richer for his life. His wonderful singing, a voice (spectacular, I have a great CD) now with the heavens, a true “Travelling Companion”. Pray for his soul. We were special buddies to the end. 
We were planning a trip to Ghana, interrupted by the pandemic and his dedication to his countless patients. He called and wrote my name as PemB. To his lovely daughters and loved ones, my profound condolences. We all grieve his absence. I will miss him! Love You, Brother! Rest In Peace with the Ancestors and Rise in Eternal Glory!

Your dad was in his early years of residency at The University Hospital Jamaica and I remembered him being kind and compassionate to my very Ill son , Michael. Sadly missed

I met Richard and Grace as a teenager as they were good friends of my sister Sharon and brother-in-law, Bobby.  When I migrated, my husband and I remained friends with them.  Richard was such a bubbly person and never seemed to let anything bother him. Their home was always opened to everyone.  We shared a lot of Bar-B-Qs, New Year's Eve parties, and trips to Penn Relays and  Reggae Boys games. RIP our friend, until we meet again.  Praying for strength for the family during this time. We saw how tirelessly you worked in the ER, your commitment and dedication to saving lives was undeniable. I am  very fortunate for the opportunity to have worked with you at St Joseph Hospital. THANK YOU SO MUCH DR. KIRKWOOD, may your soul Rest In Peace.
