Ricki Cunningham

Ricki was born on October 2, 1938 to Dante and Joan Aurrichio.

She is survived by her son Billy, her brothers Patrick(Mary) and Peter(Alison) Aurrichio, her sisters Diane Aurrichio and Michelle (Chris) Buffamante, nine beloved nieces and nephews, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews who she loved dearly.

Ricki is predeceased by her husband Bill.

Throughout her life Ricki lived in many places, most notably Poughkeepsie NY, Albany NY, and Mount Vernon NY, where she graduated from A.B. Davis High School in 1956. She later graduated from Rockland Community College and Empire State College, and lived in Nanuet, NY, for the past 50 years.

Ricki loved her first job working for Terrytoons in New Rochelle, NY, where she was an artist for many classic cartoons including Mighty Mouse, Heckle and Jeckle, and others. She also worked at various locations around Rockland County for Office Temps, and most recently at Service Abstract Corp. in Nanuet, NY.

Ricki loved her family above all else, and was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and aunt. She dearly loved animals and children, and loved the ocean, especially her favorite beaches in Montauk, NY.

Visitation will be held at the Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home in New City, N.Y., on Wednesday, August 29th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 30th at the Shrine Church of St. Anthony in Nanuet.

Memorial gifts in her memory may be made to any deserving animal shelter or charity.
