Ricky S. Caridi

Ricky Stephen Caridi of Bardonia, NY, 68 years old, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, July 8, 2024.  He is survived by his Mother Ann Caridi and Stepfather Nick Manduca and his Domestic Partner and Love of his Life Donna Palladino. He is also survived by his children Chandra Caridi and Stephen Caridi, his daughter in law Kristen Caridi, as well as his former spouse Denise Caridi, mother of his two children.  He was predeceased in death by his Father Stephen V. Caridi.

Ricky was born in Elmhurst, NY to Ann and Stephen Caridi on December 2, 1955. He attended Loyola High School in Manhattan and graduated from Russell Sage College in Troy, NY.

Ricky was successful in his career in hotel and restaurant management working for his family business at The Friar Tuck Inn Resort and Spa in Catskill, NY for 38 years until it's closure in 2009. Shortly after his career in hospitality, Ricky established himself in the real estate industry working for Weichert Realty in Nanuet, New York. He carved a path to even more success, winning several awards in his field.

He cherished spending time with his “sweetie” Donna, his family, friends and his beloved dog Bentley. Ricky and Bentley had a special bond. They could be found most evenings sharing Strawberry Ice-Cream and playing ball! In his spare time, Ricky enjoyed volunteering, culinary experiences, traveling the world, and enjoying the hobby of model design and building. With his bright smile and hearty laugh, Ricky had a way of making everyone feel seen and heard. Whether it was rushing to the supermarket to gather ingredients for a loved one’s favorite meal or simply checking in to ensure their well-being Ricky could always be counted on! His selflessness, love, and kindness touched the lives of many. Ricky leaves behind a legacy of making the world a better place, one act of love at time – he will truly be missed by All.

A visitation for Ricky will be held Sunday, July 14, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service Inc., 321 South Main Street, New City, NY 10956. A visitation will occur Sunday, July 14, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 321 South Main Street, New City, NY 10956. A funeral mass will occur Monday, July 15, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Anthony's Shrine, 36 W Nyack Rd, Nanuet, NY 10954. A burial will occur Monday, July 15, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Calvary Cemetery, 49-02 Laurel Hill Blvd, New York, NY 11377.
