Robert "Bob" Burton of Nanuet, NY, 66 years old, passed away at Good Samaritan on January 11, 2019. He was born on February 27, 1952 to Marvin and Ann Burton in Yonkers, NY. Bob was a lifelong resident of Rockland County. He graduated from St. Anthony’s School in 1966 and Albertus Magnus HS in 1970. He also attended Rockland Community College.
Bob enjoyed working at Boutons in Spring Valley for many years, until it closed down. Bob was a huge sports fan especially baseball. He loved the Mets, Yankees, and even liked the Colorado Rockies. He also loved playing the game of baseball, from T-Shirt League up to Senior Babe Ruth and years of local softball leagues. But most of all his greatest joy was hanging out with his brothers, family and friends.
He survived by only his brother Donald Burton and his wife Laura [Kurth] Burton and their children Matthew and Megan, and his children Michael and Corey Burton. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Donna Burton, her husband Tod Limoli, niece Maria, and his nephews Peter and Thomas Burton. He is predeceased by his parents Marvin and Ann Burton, brothers Richie, George and Marvin Jr.
Bob has been cremated, and after years of his brother, Donald asking him to come out to visit Colorado, I am happy to report Bob’s ashes are now vacationing in Denver, Colorado. He will truly be missed.
