Robert B. Huntoon

Robert B. Huntoon, 86 years old, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2013 with his family at his side.Bob was born in Braintree, Mass. on March 1, 1927. He was predeceased by his parents, Benjamin Huntoon and Helen (Worden) Huntoon. He was also predeceased by his younger brother David.Bob served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. He received a MS in Chemistry from Northeastern University, Boston, Mass. He was an Industrial Chemist, retiring from International Flavors and Fragrances, Dayton, NJ.Bob is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Joan; his children, Brian, Benjamin and wife Shirley, Beth Truffa and husband, Ray, Janet, Joelle Dolas and husband Rajeev; his grandchildren, Benjamin, Melissa, Jessica, Tracy, Nicholas, Jay and Kieran; and by his great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Aidan, McKenna, Annabelle, Lillian and Brianna.Bob was a Presbyterian church elder and active in RSVP and many other volunteer organizations. Family will receive visitors from 2-4pm on Saturday, December 7th at the Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, New City, NY. A service will be held at 3pm on Sunday, December 8th at Germonds Presbyterian Church, 39 Germonds Road, New City, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice .
