Robert C. Vallone

Robert Christopher Vallone died unexpectedly on May 3, 2011 in New Paltz, NY. Robert was born in Suffern, NY on May 4, 1979 to Robert J. and Elizabeth Vallone of New City. He attended his beloved Albertus Magnus High School, where he played football and basketball. He was close, until his death, with his teammates and will be missed by his best friends Jeff Du Luc, Artie Garcia, Brian Edwards, James Hayes, Daniel Martin, and high school chums Cristina Bonomini and Dhlorah Du Luc and the entire Du Luc Family; especially Juan Du Luc, who guided him like a second father. Robert was employed by his alma mater, Pace University, as an Information Technology Manager. He is survived by his loving wife, Amy De Angelis and his stepson, Maxfield. He is also survived by his devoted sister Renee and her finance, Chris Ravanello, from Mamaroneck, NY. He will be sorely missed by his grandparents, Onofrio and Maddalena Palombella, and his doting aunts: Sara Provost, Ann Marie Attilio, Louise Novotny and their husbands. His cousins, who considered him their older brother, are acutely feeling his loss: Michael Attilio, Patrick Attilio, Daniel Attilio, Laura Novotny, Andrew Novotny, Carolyn Thomasey and Katherine Offield and their husbands. He loved his wife’s family, Dr. Martin and Kathy De Angelis, Kara De Angelis and Randy De Angelis; they embraced him as their own, providing him and Amy with a little slice of heaven on their farm in New Paltz. He was predeceased by his adoring grandparents, Frances and Joseph Vallone. Visitation will be on Thursday May 5, 2011 at Higgins Funeral Home, New City, NY from 2-4 & 7-9. A Mass will be held at St. Augustine’s Church, on Main Street in New City, at 11:30am Friday, May 6, 2011. Cremation will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Albertus Magnus High School in his memory.
