Roy E Vann, 75, of Nanuet and Stony Point, NY, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025. Beloved husband of the late Linda (Maruch) Vann. Cherished father of Robert and his wife Kimberly of Nanuet, NY. Loving brother of David Vann and his late wife Avis. Roy is predeceased in death by his mother Hazel Norma Carr DeGroat of Dublin, GA, his father Earl Thomas Vann, his sister Linda Kay Lawrie of Dublin, GA and his brother Edward Thomas Vann. He is also survived by his step-sisters, and many nieces and nephews.
Roy served in the US Army, receiving the National Defense Service Medal and earned a Sharpshooter qualification on M-16 rifles before being Honorably discharged in 1976 and beginning an over 30 year career with the Hudson Valley DDSO, retiring in 2004. He cherished his time spent with family and friends and watching Westerns and Dallas Cowboys games. He will be greatly missed.
