Ruth (Vegas) McGarvey died peacefully at home with her family by her side on October 4, 2015. Ruth was born in Mahattan, NY and moved to New City over 50 years ago. She is survived by her beloved husband, her devoted sons, Brian (Laura) and Lawrence (Hedi) and her cherished grandchildren, Brian, Sean, Deena, Molly and Emma. Ruth had three sisters, Mabel Rosetti, Elsie Hroncich and Gladys DeMaio (deceased 2007). Vistitation will be Wednesday October 7, 2015, at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home from 6-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday October 8, 2015, 10am @ St. Anthony’s Church, 36 West Nyack Road Nanuet, NY 10956 followed by a burial at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Nanuet NY.
