Susan Grace Doonan

Susan was born on October 9, 1961 to Edward McDonald and Anita Abrams. She married the love of her life James Doonan on May 19, 1990. Susan lived in Highland Falls, NY for the last 28 years. She previously resided in New City, NY.

Susan was a devoted mother and advocate for Autism. She enjoyed listening to music, going to concerts, going to the beach every summer, and spending time with her family, friends, and her beloved dog Scarlet. She was an avid Dave Matthew’s fan but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.

She is survived by her sons James and John and her daughter – in – law Ashley. She is also survived by her brother Michael McDonald (Debbie) of New City, NY, her sister Nancy O’Connell (Richard) of Chesterfield, MO plus her many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband James, her brother David and her parents Edward and Anita. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday September 7 from 4-8PM at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. A grave side service will be held on Thursday September 8, 11AM at Eagle Valley Cemetery, West Point, NY.
