Suzanne, You were beautiful inside and out and to see your smile made anyone near you light up.  You welcomed me into your home, for that I am so appreciative.  My first trip to NYC, wow.  My most fond memory of you; it was so apparent what was most important in your life, family.  You loved your family with a fierce love that I am sure they will never forget.  Rest well as you have instilled into your children what a Mother should look like.  May God bless the Caruso, Callahan families with peace, comfort and grace.

I'm privileged to work with Mrs Susanne Caruso over a decade in GSH. My heart aches as I express myself for her passing on.  Susanne was such a caring nurse. She gave all her undivided attention to every single patient in T3 unit where she worked lately till end of May 2021. She was dedicated nurse and excellent team player. Susanne was always punctual to duty and never stops. GSH has lost a heroine nurse of our time. She'll be greatly missed by all of us. Adieu! great nurse of our time. May your soul continue to rest 🙏 in perfect peace ✌. Thanks for all you did to humanity. 

 I am so saddened to hear of your passing. The entire GSH staff that have come into contact with you have felt your warmth, compassion and kindness  along with your extensive knowledge.  Your patients were blessed to have you as their nurse & t3 has suffered a great loss, you were the mother of the unit. I’ll also miss your baking. Thank you for welcoming me as a float nurse and always extending a welcoming hand. And for all the times you asked me if I needed help as a charge nurse just as a gesture it was appreciated, We miss you dearly but to your family, this is without a doubt the hardest. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always.

Suzanne always had a smile on her face and a positive attitude. Her friendly demeanor was contagious always reaching out with a kind word or a happy thought. I have fond memories from our family vacations and birthday celebrations together with our children. I remember when our youngest was born at Good Samaritan and Suzanne took care of our two older daughters making sure they were safe, sound, happy and well fed. You will always be remembered by our family as a loving and caring Mother and a thoughtful and considerate  beautiful person who spent a lifetime caring for people in a very noble profession. Suzanne and I have worked together for many years. Suzanne was a very giving person she always went above and beyond for her patients. She was very compassionate and dedicated to her profession. It was a blessing to have worked bedside her for many years of my career at Good Samaritan Hospital on T3. There wasn’t ever a time when I asked her for help that she wouldn’t stop what she was doing and come assist me. I’ll never forget all the birthday cakes she has made me over the years. I’m forever grateful to her for all the guidance she has given me over the years . May god provide strength to her family in these tough times. Suzanne, you will be dearly missed by so many.

Suzanne and I worked together for past 15 years. “Suzanne Caruso's absence cannot be compensated for. She had an impact on many people's lives. She is a person that is dedicated, compassionate, and kind. Her professionalism set a high standard for the rest of us. I recall her talking about her family and how she had so many interesting stories to tell. She was the mother of the T3 clan. Nights, in particular, will be remembered fondly. For each of us, she bakes a birthday cake. Accepting that you are no longer alive is very difficult. May the Almighty Lord reward you for all your excellent deeds. Suzanne, you are going to be sorely missed!!!! ” I wish you a peaceful rest”!!!

I send a previous message. I had  to correct that my sister  , Barbara  DeSalvo and Suzanne met at Saint Vincents nursing school in NYC.  And  a glorious friendship began. Suzanne was just one lovely person. I’ll keep her in my prayers. I’m so sorry for the great loss. 

When I heard of Suzanne’s passing such a sadness came over me. Although we lost touch  years ago , my high school memories of her will remain in my heart forever. I’m the sister of Suzanne’s dear friend Barbara DeSalvo( Bartolomeo). They were friends from high school years and beyond. My sister and Suzanne  had so many fun times together.  I  remember her high spirits and big smile. She was kind hearted and loving. My deepest condolences to the family she leaves behind. She will be dearly missed. 

A  few years ago I had the pleasure of working with Suzanne on T3.  She had a smile that could light up a room and put sunshine in a cloudy day.  She never hesitated to help others and  her spirit of laughter, thoughtfulness, kindness,  and true  professionalism was an example for everyone.   I always remember her talking about her family and she had she had so many wonderful stories to share.   I was deeply saddened to hear of her unexpected passing,  but in my heart I know she had earned those angel wings things a long time ago.  I thank God for the opportunity I had to get to know her. You couldn't help but love her.

I'm so saddened to hear about Suzanne.  I worked with Suzanne for several years on T3 when I first became a nurse, and I still remember her kindness to me. It made a difference to me. And even though it has been several years since we've worked together, Suzanne always recommended to send me a text on my birthday.  She was a genuine and caring person.  What a loss for all the people who knew this woman.  My deepest sympathy for her family especially, whom I know she dearly cared for and often spoke about.

Suzanne Caruso, you were a true hero, not only to your patients, but to the T3 staff. You gave your all to the orientees including me, showing what a true nurse should be. 
I will never forget how you cared for your patients with such respect, dignity and pride. The same with your T3 family. You always were asking me how my family is doing and how my doctor appointments went, showing how much you really cared. 
Thank you for teaching me so much and to truly be an all around wonderful person. I will never forget you, Suzanne. 
I’ll try and use your teachings everyday with my patients and have your legacy live on in T3. 
May the Caruso family be comforted knowing Suzanne is at peace now. Rest In Peace sweet Suzanne!


Suzanne  Caruso,  was like an  angel  sent from above.  She was kind,  friendly,  and most of all down to earth.  Very few people on this earth has the quality that she had.  I'm very honored 🙏  to have had the opportunity to have not only known Suzanne,  but to have worked with this wonderful,  loving human being for over 15 years.  She has left her trace in my heart ❤.  And I will never  ever forget her  time here on earth 🌎.  "No one will".   She was inspirational and made everyone she has met in her journey here on earth, felt extra  good about themselves.  May she rest in peace.  May God give her family 👪 the strength that they need,  to get through this devastating loss.

Suzanne, I cannot believe you are gone. My heart is so broken. You were such a beautiful person and my mom on T3. You showed me how to be a great nurse, wife and mother. The way you took care of your patients & your family was exemplary; no one will ever be able to compare. Thank you for everything. My sincerest condolences to your family. You will truly be missed. 

I am fairly new in Unit T3 compared to others but I know that Suzanne was a hard-working, dedicated, and well-respected nurse who always puts her patients first. She established trusting relationships not only with her patients but also with their families and hospital staff.

Everyone knows that Suzanne was a good team player. No matter how difficult the situation in our unit can be, she was always there to help everyone. Suzanne not only cared for her patients but her colleagues as well. She never forgets and makes every effort to celebrate everyone's birthday and that’s something that we would always remember of her. I definitely would miss all those times we’ve shared and all of her cooking that she brought to us. All those great memories would be greatly treasured and I’m sure that my colleagues feel the same way as well.

So, my friend, I thank you for everything you've done for us. I hope you’re in a better place now, and may you find rest in peace. We in Unit T3 are truly grateful to have you as part of our family.

Suzanne will always be the official Mom of T3! I think she precepted most of us on nights and she was always a resource I could count on.  She put so much of herself into caring for others. Always willing to help or give advice. She was someone to count on. Truly someone that exemplifies what it takes to be a great nurse.

Suzanne was so thoughtful...she remembered each and every one of our birthdays and made sure that you felt like you were special. There was always a freshly baked Suzanne Caruso cake--tie between chocolate coffee cake and pineapple upside down for me!

I have so many fond memories of Suzanne. I wish I could look forward to another shift with you in one of your festive scrubs. There will never be another Suzanne and I know that you have touched the lives of so may people.

I am so sorry to hear about Suzanne’s passing. I only worked with her a short time but I saw what a lovely and gifted person she was.  She made a lasting impression on me.  My condolences to all her family and friends. 

Suzanne Caruso when she was born she was placed on thos earth for a reason.  She wss such a Giving Person, she would give her shirt off her bsck. I work with her on t3 for over 15yrs. she was the first to start up a collection. I always joke with her " asking her what does she have in that pocket book of her" as she always hand out her contribution first.  She Loved being a nurse, she gave her all to her Patients and to her co workers. We as a t3 Family will never be the same without her. but to her immediate family 👪i know its worst.  To the Caruso family my sincere condolences but believe she is in a better place. Please lets us know if there is anything her t3 family can do for you, her surving family. Suzanne was a great nurse who gave her all for her patients. One time we had a
Patient who became very agitated to the point the police were called for help with him. One of the Officers pulled out his pepper spray and Suzanne jumped in front of the officer to prevent him from using the spray and made sure he knew he could never use it on patients. Suzanne’s patients were given excellent care. She was a very caring woman who will be missed so much. Love, Donna
