Suzanne was a wonderful woman who cared for and gave so much time to the kids of our community. I have lots of great memories of the parties after the VCI football games that her and her husband Glenn would host. She was a champion for the kids of that organization and a devoted friend to all who were involved. There are not enough people like her in this world. She will truly be missed. My condolences go out to the Homberg Family at this most difficult time. RIP, Suzanne.

For years, Suzanne looked after our property and our resident needs at Mountainview Condominiums. She loved and cared for our community and our residents. She kept this place going! We are all sadden by her passing. Thank you Suzanne for your dedication to all of us.
I'll miss our many conversations and many laughs and always cherish our friendship. My deepest condolences to the Homberg family. My friend, may you be at peace.

Suzanne and I produced the VCI journal together for many years. She was a wonderful person to work with weather it was on the Journal or at the concession stand at our football games. Fun to be around all the time any time. She will be missed but most of all she will be remembered for her beautiful soul.

When the chips were down or you needed an extra hand Suzanne always extended herself and her family to help. You will be missed.

Suzanne was always somebody we could count on to make us smile and laugh. She was tough but had a heart of gold. To know her was to love her. The following poem truly wraps up our feelings during this time of sorrow.

To Love What Death Can Touch
‘Tis a fearful thing
to love what death can touch. To Love What Death Can Touch
A fearful thing
to love, to hope, to dream, to be –
to be,
And oh, to lose.
A thing for fools, this,
And a holy thing,
a holy thing
to love.
For your life has lived in me,
your laugh once lifted me,
your word was gift to me.
To remember this brings painful joy.
‘Tis a human thing, love,
a holy thing, to love
what death has touched.

To a wonderful woman who cared so much for the children of our community - the unending days, months, years, seasons that you spent dedicated to our children and our community sports programs throughout your lifetime has been a great blessing to us all. Inviting us into your home into your family and into your heart. So many of us both parents and children have so many wonderful memories of those good old day! Our thoughts of you will always bring a smile. May God rest your soul.

Margie Fernandez

My name is Margie Fernandez and I am a renter of 4 years at Mountainview Condominiums.
Suzanne and I have had many personal and intimate conversations through the years. She and I always seemed to be on the same page.
I feel honored to have known her and to be able to call her my friend.
Suzanne had a heart of gold, a wit of a straight faced stand up comedian and an understanding of a wise and direct listener and participant in all our shared conversations.
I will truly miss her.
I offer my deepest condolences to all of you; her family and friends.
With a heavy and sincere heart,
Margie Fernandez #92
