

Teresa is predeceased in 1985 by her loving husband, William P. Cullen, a NYC firefighter. She is also predeceased by her brother, Eamon Deady, and sisters, Mary, Nora, Kitty, and Margaret “Peg”.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Cullen) Occhiogrosso, and son-in-law Francis J. Occhiogrosso, her beloved grandsons, John Francis Occhiogrosso, and his wife Andrea (Smith) Occhiogrosso, and Michael Cullen Occhiogrosso. She is also survived by her sister, Jane “Phil” Hickey and her husband, Walter, and sister-in-law, Theresa (Casey) Deady, as well as many loving nieces and nephews to whom she will always be “Aunt Tess”, and her acquired extended Occhiogrosso family who shared with her their love and friendship.
Teresa came to the United Stated from Ireland as a young women; and was proud of her US citizenship. She signed all of her cards to her grandchildren with “God Bless America”. Teresa will be remembered for her devotion to her husband, family, faith and country, and for her wonderful sense of humor. She will be missed.
A visitation will be held at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, New City on Monday June 6, 2016 from 4-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 11am at St. Francis Church, West Nyack. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. Memorial donations in Teresa Cullen’s name may be made to the Dominican Convent of Our Lady of the Rosary, 175 Route 340, Sparkill, NY 10976, or to United Hospice of Rockland.
